  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 large eggs Beaten until smooth.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and cheese, flour, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Form the mixture into small balls, roughly 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until smooth.
  • Dip each macaroni ball into the beaten eggs, ensuring they’re well-coated.
  • Roll each ball in the breadcrumbs to create a crispy outer layer.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for optimal cooking.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Arrange the balls in a single layer in the basket, making sure they don’t touch.
  • Spray the tops of the balls lightly with cooking spray for a golden finish.
  • Air fry for about 10-12 minutes, or until you achieve a perfect golden brown and crispy texture.
  • Serve warm, and enjoy every bite!

Notes

For serving, these mac and cheese balls are great with marinara, garlic aioli, or ranch dressing. They can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for a month before cooking.
