Ingredients
  

For the salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Fresh or thawed if previously frozen.
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For brushing the salmon.

For the avocado lime sauce

  • 1 piece ripe avocado Should be creamy when mashed.
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice Freshly squeezed is best.
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt Optional, for creaminess.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning the sauce.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet, skin-side down.
  • Brush the fillets lightly with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle Cajun seasoning generously over the salmon.

Baking

  • Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork.

Making the sauce

  • While the salmon is baking, mash the avocado in a mixing bowl until creamy.
  • Stir in lime juice and Greek yogurt (if using) until smooth.
  • Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Once the salmon is cooked, plate it and top with the avocado lime sauce.

Notes

For best results, ensure salmon is fresh. Consider garnishing with lime wedges or fresh cilantro. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
