Ingredients

Pasta and Meat

  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20) for best flavor

Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Seasonings

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional, for heat

Instructions

Cooking

  • In a large pot of salted water, cook the bowtie pasta until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, seasoning it with salt, pepper, and onion powder. Drain excess fat as needed.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning to the beef. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Reduce the heat to low. Pour in the Alfredo sauce, heavy cream, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it evenly in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if you like a bit of heat.

Notes

For a healthier option, use whole wheat pasta or plant-based ground beef. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat with a splash of heavy cream or pasta water.
