  • 1 cup fresh blackberries Gentle muddling required to release juices.
  • 1 bottle champagne or sparkling wine Substitutes can include Prosecco or Cava.
  • 1 cup orange juice Freshly squeezed recommended for best flavor.
  • to taste mint leaves Garnish for added color and aroma.

Preparation

  • Muddle the blackberries in a pitcher using a muddler or the back of a spoon to crush them gently.
  • Mix in the orange juice and stir well to combine the flavors.
  • Fill champagne flutes halfway with the blackberry-orange mixture.
  • Top off each glass with your choice of champagne or sparkling wine.
  • Add a sprig of fresh mint for garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

Store any leftover blackberry-orange mixture in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours, but do not mix with champagne until ready to serve to preserve fizz.
