Ingredients
  

For the Crostini

  • 1 piece baguette, sliced Fresh baguette for optimal crunch.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For brushing the baguette slices.

For the Topping

  • 4 oz goat cheese Creamy goat cheese can be substituted with cream cheese.
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries Can use frozen, but thaw and drain first.
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar For the blueberry mixture.
  • 1 tbsp honey Adjust for desired sweetness.
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme For garnish and flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Brush each baguette slice with olive oil and lay them out on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the slices for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  • In a small pan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey over medium heat.
  • Add the fresh blueberries and cook until they soften and release their juices.
  • Once the baguette slices are ready, spread a generous amount of goat cheese on each crostini.
  • Spoon the warm blueberry mixture over the cheese, finishing with a sprinkle of fresh thyme.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best taste, consume fresh. When storing, keep assembled crostinis in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The components can be stored separately for up to three days.
