  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Can substitute with honey if needed.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free option.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper To season the salmon.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the salmon fillets on it.
  • Generously pour the brown sugar mixture over the salmon, ensuring it’s well coated.

Cooking

  • Bake the salmon for 12–15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  • If desired, garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Serve with a light salad, steamed vegetables, or rice. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat at low heat to retain moisture.
