Brownie Base

  • 1 box brownie mix Use any brownie mix you prefer.

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Can be replaced with a nut-free alternative.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Ensure butter is at room temperature.

Chocolate Topping

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons milk Adjust based on desired consistency.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven as per brownie mix package instructions and grease a baking pan.
  • Prepare the brownie batter according to the package instructions and pour it into the greased baking pan.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
  • Pour the peanut butter mixture over the brownie layer before baking.
  • Bake the brownies according to the package instructions and check for doneness a few minutes before the timer goes off.
  • Once baked and cooled, melt the chocolate chips with the milk in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and allow everything to cool and set before cutting into squares.

Notes

For serving, cut into uniform squares and dust with additional powdered sugar. Great with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
