Ingredients

Cheese Mixture

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

Breading and Seasoning

  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

For Cooking

  • Olive oil spray for baking or air frying

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine mozzarella, parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Add the beaten egg and breadcrumbs to the cheese mixture. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  • Scoop about 1 tablespoon of mixture and roll into small balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Lightly spray with olive oil to help them crisp while cooking.

Cooking

  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. (Air fryer option: cook at 370°F for 8–10 minutes.)
  • Remove and cool slightly on a wire rack before serving with marinara or ranch dip.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best texture. Substitute cheddar or provolone for a different flavor twist. Roll the bites ahead of time, freeze them on a tray, and bake from frozen when guests arrive. Serve on a platter with marinara sauce, garlic aioli, or a drizzle of hot honey for a gourmet touch.
