  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, sliced (optional) Feel free to omit for a vegetarian version.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with half-and-half or a non-dairy milk blended with cornstarch.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Use freshly grated for better flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Add heavy cream and simmer for a few minutes.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

Combining

  • Add cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For best flavors, use freshly grated Parmesan instead of pre-packaged cheese. Consider adding sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
