  • 2 cans chili (with or without beans; your choice)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to switch up the cheese for a different flavor.
  • 1 cup sour cream For serving.
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions For serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large baking dish, spread the frozen tater tots evenly across the bottom.
  • Pour the chili over the tater tots, making sure to cover them thoroughly.
  • Generously sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chili.
  • Place the dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
  • Serve hot, topped with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of chopped green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze portioned servings for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight and reheat at 350°F (175°C).
