  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter for browning
  • 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for extra flavor
  • 1 cup M&Ms choose festive colors
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles the more, the merrier!
  • 3 tablespoons white chocolate optional, for drizzling

Preparation

  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns brown and exudes a nutty aroma. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in the marshmallows until they melt completely into the buttery goodness.
  • Add in the vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  • Off the heat, mix in the Rice Krispies cereal, M&Ms, and sprinkles. Stir until everything is well combined.
  • Press the mixture firmly into a greased 9x13-inch pan.
  • Optionally, drizzle melted white chocolate over the top for an elegant finish.
  • Allow to cool, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

To keep them fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days, or refrigerate for longer storage. For long-term, wrap squares and freeze for up to 3 months.
