  • 8 oz pasta of your choice
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream At room temperature for best results
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional) For some heat

Preparation

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pot. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until it's melted and fully combined.
  • Return the cooked pasta and broccoli to the pot, mixing until everything is well coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Serve warm and enjoy your family dinner!

Notes

For serving, toss a handful of freshly grated Parmesan on top and consider pairing with a crisp salad or garlic bread. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
