Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • ¼ cup honey Can be replaced with maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce Can be substituted with coconut aminos for a gluten-free version.
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all components and have them ready to go. Mince your garlic and chop the green onions.

Make the Honey Garlic Glaze

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.

Sear the Salmon

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until the skin is crispy.

Glaze and Finish Cooking

  • Flip the salmon, pour the honey garlic glaze over it, and continue cooking for 2-3 more minutes until the salmon is cooked through and beautifully glazed.

Serve and Garnish

  • Remove from heat, plate your salmon, and garnish with chopped green onions for a pop of color.

Notes

Serve the salmon on a bed of steamed jasmine rice or quinoa, and pair it with sautéed green beans or a fresh cucumber salad. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat gently in the oven at 300°F.
