Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Prepare brownie batter by melting butter and mixing with sugar and eggs in another bowl.
  • Incorporate cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder into the mixture. Finally, add chocolate chips and vanilla.

Layering

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 baking pan.
  • Spread the cookie dough evenly in the bottom of the greased pan.
  • Top with brownie batter, spreading evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Allow to cool for 15-20 minutes before cutting into squares.
