Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups self-rising flour (or all-purpose flour + 2 tsp baking powder + ½ tsp salt)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (nonfat or full-fat)
  • 1 whole egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning (or sesame seeds, poppy seeds, etc.)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour and Greek yogurt until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Lightly flour your surface and knead the dough for 2–3 minutes until smooth.
  • Divide dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 6 inches long and shape into a bagel circle.
  • Place bagels on the prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg for shine.
  • Sprinkle generously with everything bagel seasoning (or your favorite topping).

Baking

  • Bake for 22–25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  • Allow to cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before slicing and enjoying.

Notes

Storage: Keep bagels in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Freezer-Friendly: Slice bagels in half before freezing so you can pop them straight into the toaster. Substitutions: Use whole wheat flour for extra fiber, or swap Greek yogurt for dairy-free yogurt to make them vegan (skip the egg wash). Serving Idea: Enjoy warm with cream cheese, make a breakfast sandwich, or turn them into mini pizza bagels for a fun family dinner.
