  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 tablespoon fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped Plus more for garnish

Dipping Jus

  • 2 cups beef broth or stock
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 1.5 tablespoons all-purpose flour Optional for thickening
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1-2 teaspoons Better Than Bouillon Reduced Sodium Roasted Beef Base If needed
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme Or 1/4 teaspoon dried
  • Kosher salt and freshly-ground black pepper to taste Add 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise, keeping them all connected. Place the bottom half in a baking dish, cut side facing up.
  • In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder. Spread this mixture over the bottom layer of the rolls.
  • Place a layer of roast beef on top of the sauce, followed by the cheese and caramelized onions. Sprinkle the fresh parsley on top.
  • Place the top half of the rolls over the fillings. Brush the melted butter over the top and season with salts and pepper.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the sliders for about 15-20 minutes until the cheese melts and everything is heated through.

Make the Jus

  • In a small pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook briefly.
  • Stir in flour for a roux, then slowly whisk in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and bouillon if using. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened.

Serving

  • Slice the sliders and serve them with the warm jus for dipping.

Notes

Serve fresh from the oven with crispy potato wedges or a simple salad. Consider adding pickles or jalapeños for an extra zing. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
