  • 2 lbs carrots, peeled and sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary leaves
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preparation

  • Peel carrots and slice into even ½-inch rounds.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, add carrots and ½ cup water. Cover and steam over medium heat for 5–6 minutes until just tender.
  • Drain any remaining water. Add butter, honey, and brown sugar to the skillet. Stir until carrots are evenly coated.
  • Cook uncovered for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until glaze thickens and carrots are glossy.
  • Season with salt and pepper, then stir in thyme or rosemary.
  • Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
