Croissant Ingredients

  • 1 package pre-made croissant dough Make sure it is chilled.
  • 4 ounces sliced ham Regular or smoked.
  • 4 ounces cheese Swiss or cheddar work beautifully.
  • 1 unit egg For egg wash.

  • to taste mustard or favorite condiment For serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven according to the croissant dough package instructions.
  • Roll out the croissant dough and cut it into triangles.
  • Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each triangle.
  • Starting at the wide end, roll the dough to the point, shaping it into a croissant.
  • Arrange the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Beat the egg and brush it over the croissants for that golden finish.
  • Bake according to package instructions or until they’re beautifully golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm with a side of mustard or your favorite condiment.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for about 10-15 minutes. Can be frozen uncooked for up to two months.
