Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can swap for gluten-free mix.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk Can use almond milk for dairy-free.
  • 1 piece egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Optional Equipment

  • 1 piece heart-shaped pancake mold Optional for shaping pancakes.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined (a few lumps are okay!).

Cooking

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. If using a heart-shaped mold, lightly grease it.
  • Pour batter into the mold, filling it about halfway.
  • Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then carefully flip to brown the other side.
  • Repeat with the remaining batter.

Notes

Serve pancakes with maple syrup, fresh berries, whipped cream, or a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
