  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup whole milk Substitute with almond milk for dairy-free.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add-ins

  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped Use high-quality bacon.

Toppings

  • 1 cup maple syrup For dipping after baking.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar For sprinkling on top.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
  • In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until they are just mixed through.
  • Fold in the chopped bacon carefully to retain its crispy texture.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the doughnut pan and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  • Let the doughnuts cool slightly; then dip the tops in warm maple syrup and sprinkle with powdered sugar for that sweet finish.
