Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened butter, melted

For the filling

  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • Zest of 2 limes
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream Make sure bowl and beaters are chilled.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
 

Preparation of the crust

  • In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until well combined.
  • Press this mixture into the bottom and up the sides of your pie pan to form the crust.

Preparation of the filling

  • In another bowl, whisk the sweetened condensed milk with the fresh lime juice and lime zest until smooth and creamy.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the lime mixture until well combined.

Assemble and chill

  • Pour the filling into the prepared crust, smoothing the top as you go.
  • Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until the pie is set.
  • Serve chilled, topping with additional whipped cream or lime slices if desired.

Notes

To extend the pie's life, freeze individual slices wrapped tightly to prevent freezer burn. Fresh limes elevate the flavor significantly. A pre-made graham cracker crust can be used for convenience.
