  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey You can substitute with maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh garlic can be used for better flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder Fresh ginger can be used for better flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
  • Toss the chicken wings in the marinade, ensuring they’re evenly coated. Let them sit for at least 30 minutes or refrigerate for a few hours for extra flavor.

Cooking

  • Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until they’re golden brown and sticky.
  • Remove the wings from the oven and garnish them with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate the wings overnight. For crispier skin, broil the wings for the last few minutes of cooking.
