Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 250 g Mehl (flour)
  • 100 g Puderzucker (powdered sugar)
  • 2 Pck. Vanillepuddingpulver (vanilla pudding powder)
  • 2 Pck. Vanillezucker (vanilla sugar)

Wet Ingredients

  • 250 g weiche Butter (soft butter)

For Dusting

  • Etwas g Puderzucker (some powdered sugar) For dusting before serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients: flour, powdered sugar, vanilla pudding powder, and vanilla sugar. Stir them together to ensure an even distribution.
  • Add the softened butter to the dry mixture. Knead everything together until you have a uniform dough.
  • Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for 30 to 60 minutes.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F) for fan ovens or 180°C (356°F) for traditional settings.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Take portions of dough (about 10 to 12 g each) and roll them into small balls. Place the balls on the sheet, leaving space between them, and gently flatten each with a fork.
  • Bake the cookies in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  • Once baked, remove the sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool until firm. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

These pudding cookies can be served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or layered in a dessert jar with whipped cream and fruit. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze the dough for longer storage.
