Ingredients
  

For the Base

  • 4 cups Rice Chex cereal

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup chocolate chips You can use semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips.
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter May substitute with sunflower seed butter or almond butter if needed.
  • 1/4 cup butter Use dairy-free butter substitute for vegan options.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Coating & Serving

  • 2 cups powdered sugar Use sparingly if avoiding refined sugar.
  • to taste M&Ms (red and green for decoration)
  • to taste Mini pretzels (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, measure out the Rice Chex cereal and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter over low heat. Stir until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

Coating

  • Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and mix gently until evenly coated.
  • Transfer the mixture to a large resealable bag, add the powdered sugar, and shake until well coated.
  • Spread the mixture on a baking sheet to cool.
  • Once cooled, add M&Ms and pretzels if using.

Serving

  • Serve in festive bowls or bags for a fun holiday snack.

Notes

Reindeer Chow can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for 5-7 days. For best texture, enjoy within a few days after making.
