  • 1 lb fresh green beans Trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Use freshly grated for best results
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Trim the ends of the green beans and place them in a large bowl.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the green beans and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss well to ensure even coating.

Baking

  • Spread the green beans in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until tender and slightly crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the green beans.
  • Return to the oven for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and become golden.

Serving

Notes

For a dairy-free option, nutritional yeast can replace Parmesan. Best when paired with grilled chicken or pasta.
