Ingredients
For the Shrimp:
- 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
For the Lemon Butter Sauce:
- ½ cup dry white wine
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice about 2 lemons
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
- Lemon slices for garnish
1️⃣ Prepare the Shrimp:
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
Lightly coat each shrimp in flour, shaking off the excess.
2️⃣ Make the Egg Batter:
In a bowl, whisk eggs with 2 tbsp water.
Dip the floured shrimp into the egg mixture, coating evenly.
4️⃣ Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, add white wine, scraping up any bits from the pan.
Stir in chicken broth and lemon juice, simmering for 2 minutes.
Whisk in butter until smooth, then return the shrimp to the pan.
5️⃣ Finish & Serve:
Simmer for 1-2 minutes, allowing the shrimp to soak up the sauce.
Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices. Serve immediately.
