Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Cajun seasoning until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into patties that are slightly larger than your burger buns.
  • Preheat a grill or cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add a little oil if using a skillet to prevent sticking.

Cooking

  • Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt perfectly.
  • Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet until golden brown.

Assembly

  • Assemble the burgers by placing the cheesy patty on the bun and topping with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion slices.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy every flavorful bite of your Smoked Cajun Cheese Burgers!

Notes

Let the beef come to room temperature before cooking for even cooking. Make a small indent in the patties to prevent puffing during grilling. Rest the patties after cooking to allow juices to redistribute.
