  • 4 cloves Fresh garlic, sliced thin Fresh garlic provides the best flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp Chili flakes Adjust based on spice preference.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • 1/2 cup Quality olive oil Use generous amounts for flavor.
  • to taste Salt Season the pasta to taste.

Preparation

  • Start by cooking the spaghetti according to the package instructions until it’s al dente (about 8-10 minutes).
  • Meanwhile, in a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
  • Stir in the chili flakes and cook for an additional minute.
  • When the spaghetti is done, drain it (reserve a bit of pasta water if desired) and add it to the pan with the garlic and oil.
  • Toss the spaghetti well, ensuring every strand is coated.
  • Season with salt and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a rustic feel, serve in a wide bowl topped with extra olive oil and grated Parmesan. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
