Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles

Ingredients
  

For the sauce

  • 1 cup 1/4 cup soy sauce Gluten-free soy sauce can be used.
  • 3 tablespoons 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional) Optional for heat.

For the chicken

  • 1 pound 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces Substitute with tofu or shrimp if needed.
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tbsp cornstarch For coating the chicken.
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tbsp vegetable oil For cooking.

Noodles and garnish

  • 8 ounces 8 oz of rice noodles or egg noodles
  • 2 stalks 2 green onions, chopped For garnish.
  • 1 teaspoon 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional) For garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, ginger, and chili flakes until well combined.
  • Toss the chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly coated.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken and cook, stirring often, until golden and fully cooked, about 6–8 minutes.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and stir to coat. Allow it to simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  • Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the chicken and sauce, tossing to combine.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, then serve warm!

Notes

Serve with sautéed vegetables or a fresh cucumber salad. Consider marinating the chicken in the sauce for added flavor.
