  • 1 package graham crackers
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries You can swap fresh strawberries for frozen if out of season.
  • 1 cup whipped cream Reserve some for topping.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure it's at room temperature for best texture.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberry topping or jam Optional for added sweetness.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • In a separate bowl, gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until just combined.
  • In a rectangular dish, layer graham crackers evenly across the bottom.
  • Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture over the graham crackers.
  • Add a layer of sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  • Repeat these layers until the dish is filled, saving some whipped cream and strawberries for topping.
  • Finish off with a final layer of whipped cream and decorate with extra strawberries.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or, ideally, overnight before serving.

Notes

To maintain freshness, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Avoid freezing, as the whipped cream may not retain its texture.
