  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin Make sure it’s properly dissolved.
  • 1/4 cup water

Preparation

  • Puree the strawberries: Blend the hulled strawberries together with sugar until smooth.
  • Prepare the gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to soften.
  • Dissolve the gelatin: Gently heat the gelatin mixture until completely dissolved and mix it into the strawberry puree until well combined.
  • Whip the cream: In another bowl, beat the heavy cream with the vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  • Combine the mixtures: Gently fold the whipped cream into the strawberry mixture until evenly combined.
  • Chill: Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Serve in elegant glassware topped with a fresh strawberry slice or a dollop of whipped cream. Leftover mousse can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
