  • 1 cup 1 cup ricotta cheese (whole milk preferred for creaminess) Use whole milk ricotta for best texture
  • 1 cup 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped Fresh and ripe for sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for extra sweetness) Adjust according to taste
  • to taste teaspoon Salt and black pepper Add according to preference
  • to taste Fresh basil leaves, finely sliced (for garnish) Adds a fresh touch

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush each with olive oil.
  • Bake for 6-8 minutes until the slices are golden and crisp. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  • In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with salt, pepper, and honey until smooth and creamy.
  • Wash, hull, and chop the strawberries into small pieces; set aside.

Assembly

  • Generously spread the ricotta mixture onto each toasted slice of baguette.
  • Top with chopped strawberries and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  • Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For optimal freshness, consume the bruschetta the same day it’s prepared to avoid sogginess. Store ricotta and strawberries separately in the refrigerator for up to two days.
