Main Ingredients

  • 10 pieces Fresh strawberries Select firm but ripe strawberries.
  • 1 cup Whipped cream Store-bought or homemade.
  • 20 pieces Mini chocolate chips Use for Santa's eyes. Other small candies can be used as well.

Optional Garnish

  • 5 pieces Mint leaves For garnish and creativity.

Preparation

  • Wash and prepare the strawberries: Rinse the strawberries under cold water, pat them dry, and remove the green tops, saving the smaller ones for hats.
  • Create the Santa base: Take a large strawberry and place it upright on a clean cutting board. This will be Santa's body.
  • Add the whipped cream: Dollop whipped cream on top of the large strawberry for Santa's beard (and a bit for fun!).
  • Make the hat: Place one of the smaller strawberries upside down on top of the whipped cream to form Santa's hat. Add a bit more whipped cream on top as the pom-pom of the hat.
  • Finish with the eyes: Take two mini chocolate chips and press them gently into the whipped cream to create Santa's eyes.
  • Repeat until you've created a jolly group of Strawberry Santas for your holiday table!

Notes

Serve your Strawberry Santas on a festive platter, garnished with mint leaves. Enjoy within 24 hours for best taste. Options include using low-fat whipped cream or adding flavored extract to the cream.
