  • 4 slices slices of bread (challah, brioche, or whole wheat) Feel free to use any bread that you love.
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Butter to taste Butter (for cooking)
  • Maple syrup to taste Maple syrup (for serving)

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture between two slices of bread to form a sandwich. Repeat with the remaining slices.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon until well combined.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a generous amount of butter.
  • Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, allowing them to soak briefly.
  • Cook on the skillet until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  • Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup.

Notes

Best enjoyed with fresh berries, bananas, or a dusting of powdered sugar. A side of crispy bacon or sausage pairs beautifully.
