Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  • In another bowl, mix the melted butter, vegetable oil, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring to beat well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas until fully incorporated.
  • Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing gently to avoid overmixing.
  • Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips with care.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top as needed.

Baking

  • Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
