  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey) Adjust sweetness to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

  • In a bowl or jar, combine the rolled oats, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
  • Add the milk, chocolate chips, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix everything thoroughly.
  • Cover the mixture and refrigerate it overnight.
  • In the morning, stir your oats and top with additional chocolate chips if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. You can double the recipe for a larger batch. Reheating is optional, but you can warm them slightly in the microwave if preferred.
