  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar.
  • Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until well blended.
  • Beat in the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips for extra chocolatey experience, if desired.
  • Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes. The edges should be set while the center remains fudgy.
  • Allow the brownies to cool before cutting them into squares.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider using coconut sugar instead of granulated sugar or almond flour instead of all-purpose flour. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for about a week.
