  • 1 cup ricotta cheese Use whole-milk for creaminess; part-skim works too.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Mild floral honey like clover or wildflower.
  • 1 tablespoon hot honey Store-bought or homemade infused with chili.
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil Extra-virgin olive oil suggested for aroma.
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper To taste.
  • Crackers or sliced bread For serving.

Preparation

  • Spoon the ricotta into a medium mixing bowl.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of hot honey (adjust to taste), and 1 teaspoon of olive oil.
  • Whisk vigorously until the mixture is smooth and spreads easily.
  • Season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and drizzle additional hot honey on top if desired.
  • Serve immediately with crackers or toasted bread.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Do not freeze.
