Ingredients

For the Margarita

  • 4 oz silver tequila
  • 2 oz orange liqueur (Triple Sec or Cointreau)
  • 4 oz coconut milk (unsweetened or light)
  • 2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1.5 oz simple syrup or agave nectar
  • Ice cubes
  • Shredded coconut (for rimming)
  • Fresh cranberries (for garnish)
  • 2 rosemary sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Rub a lime wedge around each rim of the glasses, then dip into shredded coconut for a frosted, snowy look.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add tequila, orange liqueur, coconut milk, lime juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Shake well for 20 seconds until smooth and well-chilled.
  • Strain into the prepared glasses filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your own little 'white Christmas' moment.

Notes

For a creamier version, use canned coconut cream instead of coconut milk. Batch the drink by combining ingredients (without ice) in a pitcher for easy serving. For a mocktail, replace tequila and liqueur with coconut water and a squeeze of lime. Add grated nutmeg or vanilla for extra flavor.
